Gucci Exquisite is the new Gucci fashion show, except for exquisiteness, surprising twist is another keyword for the new show.
The brand new Gucci fashion show again brought the fashion world another huge collaboration collection. After the huge success with The North Face, Balenciaga, this time Gucci collaborated with the sport legend Adidas. Brands collaboration can easily falls into boring logo piling and lack of design. But Gucci and adidas collaboration again showed us there can be so much more for collaboration and there's no such ‘lack of innovation’ in Gucci's book.
Exquisite is an important value for this fashion show, with classic tailoring, the show started with a look with a chic pair of suits, pairing with classic pointy high heels, the look is filled with elegance, exquisiteness and craftiness.
Then the show was take on by the Gucci, Adidas collaboration. Without piling logos, Michele really merged two houses best design codes together and created something new, bold and fun.
The merged logo with Adidas originals’ three petal and Gucci signature underneath is unmistakable and creative.
Michele using Adidas three straps redesigned the Gucci classic beret he introduced in 2015 adding sportiness to a chic design. With two different signature logos on shoe heels, one Adidas three petals, one Interlocked GG Gucci logo, the asymmetric design are playful and chic. Then he takes Gucci and Adidas' signature logo to more classic Gucci designs, from suits to skits, from Diana bags to gloves. Adding modern design elements to exquisite and chic classics.
The redesigned suits with embossed Gucci monogram and embroidered collaboration logo giving both sportiness and exquisite.
Adidas designs are also used in Gucci's classic capes which is a elegant, playful creation with tailoring of masculinity.
The flannel suits with Adidas Gucci logo shouts retro and vintage design. The knit with Gucci and Adidas' designs presents modern winter wear with elegance and fun.
The very creative design are the collaboration baseball caps, to be very innovative and represent both houses' values, Michele redesigned baseball caps with two bills, with the duo billed caps, one side is Gucci classic monogram with embroideries, the opposite is Adidas' simple classic three petals logo. Such creation isn't first time seen in fashion but definitely first seen as way to show two houses values, express two different designs and new way to create collaborations.
The main theme is exquisite, and all the designs has that idea. To emphasize the chic and classic style, very traditional gowns were in the show. A long tulle raffled gown in green was a true modern classic, with it's big flare, it shows the creativeness and craftiness. The look is chic and bold.
And lace see through are again used in many looks to express the sexuality of the designs.
The velvet suit with embroideries is elegance, creativity and craftiness. It's the combination of playfulness and super chic.
The enlarged Diana bag reintroduced the classic. With embroidery or studs, design gives the classic bag more fun and punk values. Michele reinterpreted the tradition elegance and give it modernised exquisiteness.
Metallic colours were largely used in some looks makes them retro, bold and yells punk.
The bright blue jumpsuit with huge should paddle, combines fun and casual colours and modern design with masculinity.
The most impressive look should be the Adidas Gucci wedding dress. A bold overall dress with velvet, and Gucci GG monogram with red corset with Gucci Adidas logo was a innovative design of a modern wedding dress. Sporty and fun style smashes the rules of traditions and give the bride more to say for the look. The veil attached to a Adidas thread strap design cap was cherry on top.
The show was in a distorting mirrored room adding more heavy metal and funkadelic sense to the show.
